Anyone been out of Willowby launch ramp lately? Last time I pulled out at low tide and couldn't even get the boat onto the trailer. Dropped a wheel off the end of the ramp and struggled that back out.

I read they were supposed to be repairing the ramp, but they hadn't done anything the last time I was there in August.

They're rebuilding them now. They have the one ramp operational that was already there, but it has a hole the size of Texas in it. If you're looking at the ramp, the right hand lane is the only one I would use unless you want to lose a trailer tire. They have been dredging a lot around there as well. Supposedly they will be finished by Spring sometime.

You probably already know this but if you want to launch in the Willoughby area, there is a good ramp at the end of the street near the boat storage facility and the pier. I think it's $7.00 to launch and there isn't much parking but it beats the public ramp (at least until they are finish rebuilding it).

It's 10 bucks. Nice ramps too.

Ten bucks? That's outrageous...a clear cut case of price gouging. It used to be $7 when the public ramp was usable. When they finish the new ramp, I guarantee it won't stay at ten. Thank's for the info.

Thanks. I've used the public ramp a few times in the last year. Boy are you right about the left ramp. Fortunately I saw it at high tide. The right ramp is dangerous if you don't pay attention. Watch that sign on the pier that marks the end of the ramp!!! That's the one I accidently drove off. Trailer went right to the axle.

Appreciate the reports. As long as the tide's not to low I'll go ahead and launch there. With all this wind I think the CBBT is out for the weekend.

Just out of curiosity, what are the hours of the "private" ramp? I had planned on launching Tues p.m. for a quick run, but a quick look at this thread and the public ramp itself has me leaning towards the $10.

Thanks in advance.
