Dr Wright got a 1lb 6 oz spot, Dr Stillman a 1lb 4oz, and I a 1lb 6oz spot Thursday in Rudee. All three fish were our personal bests, which says much considering how we three have been loafing around the water for so many years! Also ran south and got a nice triggerfish.

Those 1# 6's tie the men's All Tackle IGFA record!!! That's awesome!!

What do you mean? There have been 1lb 8oz caught this year and the state record is 2lb 6oz -

I said IGFA record. There are fish caught bigger than IGFA fish, but for some reason...leader length, hooks used, not submitted to IGFA because of the fee($50 for non memebers), etc...that its not an IGFA record. If I caught a 2# 6oz spot...you better believe I'd submit it to the IGFA.

Hey Black Adder, would that be Dr. Barron Stillman you are referring to? If so, I'm glad to know he gets a break to enjoy fishing. He has kept my Dad's health going for over 30 years and particularly now with a recent crisis. Congrats to you guys and thanks for the info.

Fished Rudee yesterday with Gigolot and a guy next to us got a 1lb 8oz. I think a 50 buck fee would be worth the reward.
