BLACK ADDER
This Thursday is Dr Wright's day for trying to fill in some of the holes in his plethora of citations this year. I suspect we will end up tying up to a wreck or something inshore. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? I am so tired of never trolling for species or going out of the bay I could scream. Sounds like a frustrated guy,and you would be right.

The only offshore reports that I've heard of lately have been from OI or Hatteras. I wish I could help you, because if you find those near-offshore bluefish, I bet those big bluefin will be close by. wink.gif

Good luck to you!

There might be some bluefish/albies in that 64-66 degree water around the Lumps/Hot Dog up to the Morgan and out to the Spring Chicken as of Sunday noon. Hot Spots

Hope I don't boor you all with "Tales from the Obsessive Side", but this week was spent trying to up Dr Wright's big sheepshead or get a big triggerfish. Went to the Anglo-African and had trouble keeping a stern-tied wreck anchor in choppy four+ seas.Ran off to check bee hive of gannets,to find they were following two big whales and about fifty porpoises. Then to Third Island (nadda. No current at all )
then to secret wreck(ditto).Tying up a big boat in wind and seas higher than your transom is no picnic.Came back to Third for some wire trolling action. (Nadda) No Regrets turned us on to a spot they limited out on,so went there and limited out pretty quiick on stripers.Back home in the dark.(I leave his house in the morning and get home in the evening in the dark.Oh,brother!)Still, stripers is better than empty fish boxes.
