thinking about heading out to the hot dog this week end- anyone got any info? are there any fish? If so whats the bite on?

I would take a flat of Menhaden for Chunking(or Butterfish)but I would also take something to troll with.Fast Trolling with Cedar Plugs,Zookers and a Drone spoon/Planer set up would be what I would use. Squid Teasers and squid spreader Bars also help get their attention.If you find the Bluefish there could be some giant bluefin around by now.It is that time of year.Wear a knife and dance if leader gets near your feet.Good Luck!

I heard that Wes Lane released one about 50#s the other day at the Fingers. The report I read said they saw them jumping, but couldn't get them to bite. I believe thay were on the troll. I'd do what Mega said, be ready for both the troll and chunk.

Maybe some Taylors on floats up top with a sturdy circle hook.Check any wrecks in the area also Bluefin will hangout on wrecks.
