I've chatted with guys on a Florida site and they have what they call a "Non-meeting" every month. They have it at different restaurants/bar and grills that are family friendly so the kids and spouses can join in(if you want). They also rotate cities so that its not a long haul for the same people all the time. So we could have it in VB one time and then Chesapeake or Hampton another. Nothing formal, no minutes, no treasury report, no call to order(except drinks

) We don't have to have it once a month, unless it really takes off, and then may be have a big blow out party in the summer.
With the Holidays upon us, it might be hard to do something in December, but how about trying to do something in January?? may be mid Jan??
This would be a cool way to put faces with board names and sit around telling stories and lies.
Let me know if you all are interested and if you have any ideas of places, or any thoughts about it.
Catch 'em Up!!

Something else you guys may be interested in is the Virginia Beach Angler Club meetings. Maybe stop off somewhere afterwards. Unfortunately I work from my ranch a couple of hours inland and can't get there... I will be in town Christmas week (quick trip) to fish with Herman on the Okee II.

Since I moved to the ocean front area I have been hangin out at south end pub/Va beach seafood Co. and I am looking to talk to them about being a sponsor of the seacraft tourny and the board. Maybe if I can get say 10 or 3,000 of you people to come up there one afternoon we can make it happen. Can't beat their prices for fresh seafood and drinks.
That sounds like a plan.

My brother and I have done a lot of work at Sharx Sports Grill down at the beach...I'll talk to them to see if that can't throw us a bone and give us a deal on some drinks and stuff...if not for the first Meet and Greet, then the second.

We did all the paint work plus tile, flooring, bathroom stalls, etc, etc...and we did our damage on the beer stock, too.

I was their bouncer for a few weeks until I told them I couldn't work one weekend...I had to go fishing...I have my priorities.
Great place though and great food!! Good place if the kids are coming with. They have the pool tables and video games. I'll see what I can do to get them to help us out.

No Eric...I just have a big STICK!!!
Parking is one of the things I will work on...They own the lot across from it, but I don't know if they are charging now.
If anyone else knows of some places to go, let's hear 'em. I've heard the food at the South End Seafood(Jason's place) is pretty good.

Okay, Let's do this on the 19th of January. It's a Thursday. It's after the Holidays, no night bay fishing to cancel, restaurants may not be as busy as a Friday, and hangovers are okay for work on Friday, but not for fishing on Saturday

. I was going to say the Friday before, but that's the 13th and we don't want to have our first Meet and Greet on Friday the 13th...bad karma!!
How about some more ideas for places to go?? That way we can nail some place down. If this gets going and people want to do this once a month as an informal get together, then we can rotate places, cities, etc.
This will be a great way to start the year off!!!

I'm sorry.... I have a problem seeing Don as a bouncer. Imagine this... A 6'2" guy wearing an outfit from Dan Ryan’s with matching suspenders. He's Mr. GQ in my book and always will be. He probably had a job as a fashion police and they decided to reduce the overhead. Besides, He's to nice of a guy to be a bouncer.
Sorry Don.... Had to tell all.... Can I still come? Got Pic's!

Bobby Powell,
Yeah I traded in my suits, suspenders and expensive shoes for shorts, flip-flops, and a visor...and when its cold I throw on the Grundens!!

My hands are scrapped and cut from building decks and remodeling rooms...and sometimes I'll go a week without shaving!! It's not a lot of money, but its better than the stress from other places

.
Hope you're doing well Bobby!! I still have that picture of Grant waiting to go fishing. How's Stephanie and the new little one???
Let me know when you go fishing again.
--Don
P.S. You don't have to be big to be a bouncer...you just have to know how to yell for the cops!!
