I want to go out this weekend. It doesnt sound promising.

I'm always out early. on 68 Zuniboat.

I went out yesterday afternoon to the CBBT between the small boat channel and the 1st island. Thousands of birds diving all around on the bay side of the bridge right before dusk. Large numbers of fish marked on the depth finder at about 12-18 feet of depth. Tried casting storms and bucktails, dragging stretch's at 15 - 25 feet, bucktails on the bottom, slow troll, fast troll. Wow, what a disappointment. We caught 3 small rock, none legal.

Same deal earlier out near the Second Island.Appear to be on small baitfish.We couldn't get a strike either.

I marked hundreds of fish through out the water column at the 2nd island last week,
and at the small boat channel. and nothing..... I don't want to head out again
to hook the big boys when I can stay at HRBT and catch something. The only thing
I didnt try was an eel, needless to say I'm bringing them this time. The wind better lay down of its going to be a wet ride back from the 4 th island.

Same issue for me. Fished north of the second island from about 10 AM to noon. Birds, baitfish, no takers on trolling the pilings deep or casting. weird.
