wave runner looking thing, with an outboard and a guy in green gear riding it like a motorcycle?

We were on our way in, and he was heading out of Lynnhaven going toward the 1st and 2nd island. I thought for sure he was on a dealth mission, but to my amazement, a few hours later I saw him pulling it behind his Toyota pick up down Great Neck Rd.

Blew my mind.

I saw the guy filling it up at the BP on Shore Drive. Had to do a double take to see what it was. Must be some sort of homegrown waterbike.

He had loaded down with 2 rods in a rack and 2 coolers. I bet that thing is a blast in the summer time.

I wonder if he goes to the CLT on it. He could get under it with that, and not have to fight for a place to fish.

Man, sounds interesting. Maybe someone can get a picture of it, next time.

It looks like an older waverunner with an outboard, and it's maybe 10' long at the most.

I didn't see it, but it doesn't surprise me. What's crazy is that the new jetskis and stuff, have enough horsepower in them, that it would be like strapping a 225 outboard to your a$$ and holding on!! I can't imagine going as fast as they do with so little under you.

I've seen him. Looks like something out of waterworld. Just as bad of an idea this time of year, too.
