Full Version: Weekend fishing?
Virginia Beach Sport Fishing > VBSF.net Sport Fishing Forums > Chesapeake Bay & Coastal Waters to 15 miles (Ocean City MD to Hatteras NC)

Weather permiting, I'll be out there on Sunday and maybe Saturday. Depending on reports, I was thinking of starting at CH and perhaps heading south along the oceanfront. I figure with the west winds this would be the best bet for my small boat. I'd appreciate any reports. I usually monitor 68.

Tight Lines!

I'll be out on Rockin Robin tomorrow and Reel Therapy Sunday. Planning on doing the same(Cape Henry or Sandbridge), most likely hit Sandbridge first.
We'll be on 68...what's your boat name??

I'm out there Sunday - SSNOFISH, running the same path and launching out of Lynhaven around 8AM. Who's bringing the extra HOT JAVA?

Maybe I'll start a weekend business of selling hot coffee on the water - (shot of baileys EXTRA excl.gif )

Actually haven't named it yet, bought it last year from a friend and it was nameless. Was thinking of MoJo Risin. Anyway you can reach me by 71Whaler. I'm headed out on a friends boat tomorrow and hopefully on mine on Sunday. Just look for the 17' Whaler with the blue interior, usually the smallest boat in the fleet.

Scattered birds but lots of marks and the fish turned on for like 1 hr. I'm just starting @ CH so if any one needs a report call. Whaler I know you don't get up eartly I'll try ya about 0930 hope to have limit and heading in by then. Weekend the whole ocean is wall to wall anywhere a fish get caught or a bird dives.

I'll be heading out on Sunday and following everyone elses pattern.
I will be monitoring channel 68. Putting at Rudy about 6:30AM, I'll be in a 23' Sea Fox.
This is the first time out this year for the big ones smile.gif

Rudee it is!!

I will be finishing up the trip by parking it back in my slip at Little creek, but since I live near owl creek and plan on fishing the Ocean south of rudee, I will launch out of there.

I would like to say 6:30 but still getting crew together.
chick_woodward
We're heading out of Rudee this morning, leave a parking place. Thanks for the report Fish Daze. We'll check out CH and then head south if needed.

Scratch that

I had to 5200 a seal that is under the water line. I will take a week for it to dry in this weather sad.gif .

Hopefully before the season is over I will get my boat back in the water. I am really being tested here.
skinnys-kid
Eric,

Don't worry...you ain't missing nothing. It's a long day when you come home with one fish. The big ones must still be north, so when that 5200 dries, you'll be right in the thick of it!!
71Whaler
Yeah the bite was slowwwwww today. We fished CH, 4A buoy and off the Ramada. One 29" fish off CH along with a miss in the morning then nothing until we ran into birds off Ramada. Boated three schoolies which were nice and fat but under 28", back in the drink. Marked tons of bait and watched gannets dive all day but slow action. From the radio and watching other boats, it looked as if others were doing the same. I gonna try again tomorrow. Late start, 8AM, as I forgot to do a night launch at the boatel.
peejcj8
Yeah I rode by the ocean front today and saw the boats, looked like everyone was straight out of rudee at around 11 am.

Yet again the fish are waiting for me. I know they are getting impatient, so i will hurry.

5200 was made by a PETA engineer I guess? biggrin.gif

Now I will go out and work the "up gripes" on the boat. Sorry for the Navy Aviation slang.

Eric

Well another day lost to weather. No fishing for me on Sunday, 15+ winds are just to much for my 17'. With my luck the bite turned on at CH.

We got into the bite down south off of False Cape. Heard some guys did okay early in the morning around the LIP. I posted a report for today.
