Got an e-mail update from Julie, she said she is enjoying great meals of goat, octopus, wahoo, lobster, mahi and local fresh veggies. She's doing lots of fishing, snorkeling and touring. Yesterday they snorkeled with seals near San Cristobel. She said San Cristobel is beautiful, the streets are paved with lava stones and sidewalks are washed daily. She said she will be sightseeing tomorrow for tortoises, iouanas and blue-footed boobies (a bird ... lol lol).
Julie said wake up calls come each morning at 3am, then shes off to the restaurant for breakfast, after which they walk to the launch were they board a dingy which buses them one at a time to the boat. At 11:30 they are served lunch, such delights as ceviche, a mixture of shrimp, onions, fish and a few other things cook in local lime juice or they are served sandwiches made with fresh locally baked bread.
Yesterday they hit the water at 4am; she said it was a little rougher than normal, but still a gorgeous 80 degree day under clear skies. They raised approximately 58 billfish! Her first fish on was a fat 25 pound mahi. She also landed a 250 pound striped marlin, which they were able to film underwater. She had some still photos taken for YOZURI lures of her holding the marlin in the water. Yesterday she also hooked a 400 pound black marlin that pulled off and the film crew producer fought a 500 pound black for about 15 minutes before it pulled off.
I’m looking forward to seeing the action on TV.
