Dr Wright wants to get the ball rolling this week with an inshore tautog trip. Steve (Mr Info) Wray says the bite is good. Anybody hear anything on location or what-not?

Bite has been good in the bay. 40' plus and hard crab. Sure is nice to hear somebody mention something other than a Striped Bass.

me and keith have been discussing doing a day or two of tog, let us know if you want to team up and fish together. I am sure between the 4 of us we can come up with some pretty good wreck numbers.
I'd would love to be part of a tog trip either on my boat, or crew on someone else's boat. I've never tog fished, but would love to learn. Keep me in the loop if you don't mind.

I might entertain some Tog action. I have never caught one, but have speared many diving.

They are harder to catch with a hook than with a spear Gun.Spearing Tog is fun kind of like deer hunting underwater.

Yeah they were easy to spear, the only challenge was the visibility.

Much like NJ1, I have never Tog fished but my neighbor says they are a lot of fun to catch (and not bad on the table). Any info thrown my way would be appreciated. As many of you know, I am on my first year of fishing the bay and I have been able to grasp the techniques for Striper, Flounder, and of course Croaker and Spot. Looking for ways/excuses to expand my horizons and tackle box.
