Fished aboard the "Lady Nansea" with a friend of mine.

Left rudee before sunup and headed south. Made it to the first water tower in short order and caught two throwbacks in about 30 minutes. Ended the day with 4 in the boat. biggest 40", one at 29, 33, 36. Fished hard for two more to complete the 3 man limit but only got 2 throwbacks in the last 2 hours of fishing. Headed for the barn around 2:30. 4 in the boat and about 5 or 6 throwbacks for the day. Seen a whale or two early on. One of which was very close in to the beach. Most of our fish including the 40" was caught on an umbrella rig, bunker color fished deep and mid column. One or two on a chartruese bucktail trailing a mojo.

I fished Cape Henry yesterday from about 3- 4:30. Almost all the boats were congregated around the green can but radio reports were nada. We trolled straight out to the CH buoy and caught some fish in 55-60' of water about 200 yards short of the CH. that area produced 6 fish in an hour, 4 throwbacks, two in the box. 5 out of the 6 hit a chartreuse 5" storm trailing a white mojo without a shad. No hits on the red/white stretch 25 or on the crippled alewife on the long lines. No hits on short left (golden mullet color storm) behind char. mojo w/ shad. Switched that one to chart. storm and got #6. Go figure.

The wind is supposed to turn around to the NE tomorrow I think that might help the bite some.

You know, Mega, I think you might have something there. We really haven't had a lot of NE wind this season (at least when I've been fishing). Will be interesting to see.

How far out was that Sandbridge buildup?? Close to the beach for some surf action??

I am thinking with this warmer weather for a few days straight we may have a few fish here close by the end of the week. But then again, that is me thinking.

They were in 33 feet of water all the way out to 55 feet,or 1/4 mile out to 1.5 miles off the beach.I had the Maryland fleet out with me today for a while then they blew south, those guys are really aggressive with their boat handleing,I have learned to hold my heading until they alter their course no Captain wants a collision on their card, trust me.

I heard someone on the radio sunday say:

"Do what you are gonna do, I am gonna run you over"
