I think its a good idea. Fished a lot this year around CH and Thimble Shoales light for blues and spanish. Had good success and a rig like that would work great. The spanish seemed to like gold better than silver. I purchased a rig with 5 spoons on it,but I like your better. I paid $8 bucks for it. So there is a starting point for you.

Does all that hardware have any effect on the fish? I just make mine with a series of dropper loops so there is no metal near the lures.

I'm confused. Are you fishing this with an inline sinker at the head of the chain, or with a weight at the end more like a striper-rig daisy chain??

I like the idea. I've been worried about the line chafe. I had some problem with the lures twisting around the line. This looks like it might reduce that problem.
