Rode down to Sandbridge today and saw the largest bee hive I've ever seen, just west of the yellow can. They were dropping everywhere and moving north. I was on land freaking out!!! I wish I had a camera to have shared what I saw. I have never seen so much activity in the air in a concentrated area.

I went down to the oceanfront and saw the same thing off of 17th street. I then drove down to the Loop and saw the birds move south off of Camp Pendleton. It looked like a low cloud moving down the beach.

Heard of a report today off Croatan, that’s as far as you needed to go out of Rudee. It was some wind chop but if you only had to run .04 miles, I guess it's all good. All of you fishing tomorrow save some for me. I'll be back out on Friday!

the birds are definately thick this year. Now if we can keep the newbies from running their boats right in the middle of them and just fish the outside we would be doing something. I saw a guy break up a hive saturday off the ramada, then he is on the radio asking captains where the fish were ! I'm all about helping out, but i almost sent the guy south !!
