I Fished South today,Going around Cape Henry was a bit tight. The wind and current opposeing each other can really make it stand up.Once I got around CH it was a 35 Knot Run to The Golfball where the Birds were in a huge Hive.I started Catching fish as soon as I got the lines out.I had several doubles then the other boats started crouding me so I went to another hive and caught some more nice fish .I didnt get any paper fish but they all were quality fish anywhere from 31 to 43 inches. There was a guy going off on the VHF he was saying every 4 letter word known to man at some poor guy. This guy sounded like he was ready for some serious shock treatment.Other than suffering through that the day was awesome.I had a Right Whale come so close to my boat today that I could smell it.Those Creatures arent afraid at all he was in about 18 feet of water feeding away. The water Temp was 44.7 and the Baitfish were everywhere Menhaden and Spearing the fish were just gorgeing themselves today.

a Black tomic with a 6oz inline caught 4 fish,The white/red MoJo with a trailing Bunker spoon was the ticket today I think I caught 10 or so with that. Then the Crip A with an 8oz inline on a PowerPro line WTFB was getting most of the larger fish,I painted it like a Flounder on one side and white on the other.

Yeh, we had the pleasure of hearing that gentleman make an _ss out of himself on the radio. We caught 6 and lost a pretty good one on a red/white stretch at the boat... when we would get in the birds we never saw anyone hook up...We hit the birds at Cape Henry around 9am, I guess that was when everyone was hitting them down south...We didn't get down south til around 10....Mega we saw you out there...I always know if I see you out there I have to be pretty close to the bite....

Finally got caught up reading everyone's reports. Got so excited I grabbed the closest rod and ran to the nearest water looking for the beehive. Forgot I'm in Bernalillio, New Mexico, and there ain't no stripers in the Rio Grande. Shore did get some strange looks from the locals though.....

Just go to the local Mc D`s ant throw a large french Fry in the Parking lot and you can have your hive Fix to hold you over till you get Home.
