Went south again today the Bight was near the 3 Mile Line off the Pier today,I missed it.I caught the tail end of it and then the Fish went another half mile out so I fished on a hive closer to the Beach caught the tail end of that bight also.I never really got into a groove today guess you cant be Groovy every day.The fish and birds were spread out more today,I left before the evening bight. The water temps dropped a degree or 2 since last week the fish seem to be moving down and out .I think I scrubbed my decks too hard with comet yesterday,must have washed out the MoJo.
Sorry you didn't get today Mega!! At least you were on the water. I've been seeing boats driving towards the ramps as I drive in the opposite direction...painfull!!
I'm always worried when I wash my fishing hat that it will take all the "fish" out of it, but sometimes you gotta don it, especially when the hat stands by itself!!

"Never really got in the groove?" I guess, for you, that means only 20 fish, with nothing over 42"

Did real good today.
I kept calling for anybody, nobody answered. I guess it is a group thing. which is fine with me. I catch mine and I leave, but I call everybody, if they don't answer, oh well.

Nice job "A Salt Weapon" he looks like 30-40 lbs ...where did you find them at today ? Did you run North or South ?

I guess getting a late start and leaving early had something to do with it.I didnt put my usual 8 t0 10 hours in.

Left at 9AM, messed around ramada for about 15 min or so, than picked up and went straight south put the lines in at about 10:30 about 2 miles south of SB new construction and 1.5 miles off the beach,I stayed away from the rest of the fleet the whole time. about 10 min later we had 3 hooked , lost one. long story short , by noon we lost 2, but had our limit and were done, they were from 39" to 42 or 43" and 30 to 35 pounders. At 3:30 we attended the happy hour at our local pub. Nothing to it. LOL
