Went fishing for croakers west of the James River bridge. Didn,t catch any yesterday Thursday. When I was going out a couple of guys were coming in and they caught a few croakers on shrimp. Wind got high and white caps came up and made it kinda rough out there. This was about 4:30 pm.

Went out Sunday and drifted the incoming tide between M&M and JRB. Used squid strips on bottom. Kept 30+ over 2 lb croakers . Threw back alot more small ones. Bottom double rigs weren't working, used 2 ounce with hook trailing like flounder rig. Great day for first time out. No flounder action at all.

Has anyone caught any croaker around the CBBT yet??

caught about 10 near tidewater community college this after noon just after high tide on squid in about 1 hour.....and as the tide went out nothing but we caught a 26' rockfish around 630 this evening.....i know i know.....not time yet.....haha but was still fun to catch
