I'll be there. Did it last year too, I had a bad day last year and only caught 12 small yellowfins. Couldn't get the bluefin. I'll try it again this year!

I don't know what's up with the link...it does the same thing to me too but I was able to copy this info from the "offshore" forum. It seems "bob_marlin" will be running it and has all the info/contact numbers. These guys did a real nice job on this tournament last year. Great sponsors! ,Jim

Maybe in reading thru the rules I'm missing somethning but the rules state that ONLY three fish will be weighed and it is an AGGREGATE total. Question: Can a tuna that is weighed for the tournament be again used as a calcutta fish?? Also, if one weighs three tunas for an aggregate total, how does one weigh a mahi or wahoo for the calcutta?? Something seems a little fisshy here. Any comments appreciated, in my interpretation of the rules something seems to be missing here.

ET,
Those same three tuna also count for boats choosing to enter the optional calcutas (most do since that's where the BIG Buck$ are) the other meat fish are in addition to the 3 tuna that you can weigh in. You can bring your limit home but you only weigh in three tuna (largest fish) and your largest Mahi/Wahoo. As I recall last year no wahoo were weighed and they put the $ in the Mahi pot. I think there was a largest tuna pot also as I recall...Nice trophys too. Hope this helps.

Where are the results from this tournament?? Never mind I went to the tournament website and looked at the photos with the checks. By the way, there's a lot of folks pissed off about them extending the tournament into Sunday, committee did not cancel any fishing days (Fri/Sat) due to weather!!

I heard there were some ticked off people too. I wish they would have let us fish 2 of the 3 days since they were extended it out...but not mine to call. I still had a great time and got some ideas for next years VBSF Bluewater Classic!!
PHIRSCH
What was there reasoning for extending the fishing into Sunday?

Just Curious?

Thanks in Advance...Pat

On Thursday at the Capts Meeting, the weather forecast looked pretty snotty for the weekend and Sunday looked good, 2-5. Then Friday it changed to 4-8 on Sunday. In the end it was beautiful the entire weekend.

Tough call....I too was a bit concerned about the forcast (NOAA screwed the pooch there), Sat. was like glass. All said; I still think Bob put on a hell of a nice event. Thanks Bob.... BTW, Id like to see a 07:00 lines in time next year.
