fish tales
Went out between sunset and the monitor slow trolled with Fish tales version of the flounder sandwich.

4" storm with a strip of squid trailing off the hook. Caught out going tide at 8:30am. Only had 3 and half hours so did extreme in-shore, slow trolled about 150 to 200 yards off the shore. Pulled in 8, threw three back. lost 3 right at the boat. Have to wonder if I need to set the hook harder but I dont want to rip his lips off. Afriad if don't get on him quick he'll spit the storm out.

( Suggestions anyone?)

Only caught one on a chartruese bucktail rigged the same. Didn't fish it long though.

Trip got good to me, stayed 5 hrs. Got on the wifes nerves until she saw some filleted slabs, butter, garlic, parsley and onion on the grill.

Tasty!!!

Will report on Back River Saturday if all goes right. Looking forward to it.

Yamaha runs flawlessly fellas.

That's a unique "sammich". I've never thought of using a storm instead of minnows, but looks like it works. Thanks for the report.

i am "almost" totaly" artificial in both fresh and salt water. I have to admit there are times when there is nothing like the real thing or if its a kid trip, I can't stand to lose that much tackle. At the very least I may throw out some live or cut bait and still work a lure so I can have something to do while waiting for a bite.

Caught a flattie by accident 3 or 4 years ago messing around throwing a spinner bait in salt water trying to get a stripper to bite, it was on from there.

I fished any clear spots ( no vegatation), around the crab pots and anywhere the current met with slack water. ( similar to fresh water tactics but you guys know that.)

I'll tell y'all my cobia on articfical from the shore fish tale some other time.
