Took my Dad out fishing today in hopes of him catching a few flounder. I'm not sure how everyone else made out today but we found the flounder to be a bit finicky today. The one flounder that we did catch was a nice one (24"). fishing4.gif However, it was our one and only flounder of the day and we were happy to get it.

We did catch a bunch of croaker that ranged 1-1.5# each and a small blue. The majority of our time was spent around the 2nd and 3rd islands. Squid/minnow combo was what the flounder fell for.

How did everyone else do?

we fished the hump and got nothing but some nice sized croaker and one blue, no flounder though. we did get one undersized one when we made a couple drifts around poq flats.

It might just be me but I think the better flatties are coming in a little shallower water. The hampton bar is producing nicely, as well as the SBC, The shallows around buckroe in 14 ft of water is doing great too

I went out with my son and also caught one flattie (a 22 incher). I was happy to catch that one because for accident. action-smiley-033.gif We beat up on the croaker too for a few hours then called it a day, happy with our one flattie.
