I'm desperately trying to find a dry slip for my boat (Shamrock 246) preferably in the VA. beach or Hampton area. If anyone know a location pleases let me know. It is getting old trailering from Peterburg. smilie_help.gif

Thanks in advance

There is dry storage in Hampton at Sunset marina. You could come by water or by road. They charge $7 / foot if you sign a year contract, or $9 / foot if you do month to month. The only complaint I have is their hours are a little limited, so you've got to plan ahead for a night trip or an early morning. (I think it's 8-4:30 these days). Otherwise, great service, close to fishing grounds and nice group of people who keep there boats there. Several are on this board. Also have a bait and tackle shop on the premesis and a marine repair shop too.

Don't know that much about V.Bch, but there are a few dry storage places there too (Boatel, etc.).

i am at Bell Isle marina in hampton, It is very close and inexpensive. I belive that the dry storage for your boat is like 144 per month paid monthly and a wet slip goes for around 120 per month no contracts. Thes prices include water and Eletricty.

YOu exit the maina at the mouth of Back River. it is like 8 miles to the high span or 4th island area. Most of the Marina is fishermen. The have great facilitys and the peoplw are vear nice.

Many boat run offshore as well as inshore and bay fishing.

Comming from richmond i weighed all of the options and found this to be the best fit. Also Hampton has no Boat Tax and no tunnel traffic, Could you ask for anything else.

We are also holding The 1st annual Medical Home Plus Cobia Round Up from this location.

Applications can be gotten from

ot the Chesapeake Angler Magizine

or Local tackle shops, Such as Green tops in your case.

Check the place out

I Finally got my boat back to Bell Isle on Saturday. It's my 3rd year their and have never had any problem's. Their is no long term contract so you can even try it for a month to see if you like it there. I found the people that run the place and keep their boats there are all very friendly. Wallaces is right around the corner for bait and gas very convenient. There is a very good state ramp next to Wallaces ( no fee ) and is only a 2 min. boat ride at idle to Bell Isle.

( It's cheaper for me to leave the boat there and use my car to go back and forth than it is to tow it with my truck.)

Hope this helps.

I've been looking around as well. I'm leaning towards keeping it at Marina Shores. Good location (in Lynnhaven Inlet) and good ammenities. It's more expensive, I think around $10.00 p/foot but a good central location.

I just signed up with Taylor's Landing. It is right across the water from Little Creek marina. I found it a little cheaper than Little Creek marina. Both are good places.
