Having read reports off of other sites and calls from reputable fishermen, it looks like it DEFINITELY time to head East in the next week. 70-100 fathoms seem to be holdin the breaks (55-65). I'm stoked by hearing of a number of OC boats locking up YF and hooking BF (small ones) over the last couple of days.

PRAY FOR DECENT WEATHER!!!!!

George, The OC boats are runnin out to around 100FA and finding the temp breaks. Nearly all are catching YF and few BF. Whether I personally run straight out or turn right will depand on SAT shots later this week. I'll keep this thread posted as to where I'm going and look for HO's little later. Right now, I have one, looking for 2-3 more...

Also, Hot Dog is producing some heavy bluefish, might be some bluefin showing there soon...

I plan on heading out Saturday for sure right now...I've got some family issues in South Carolina that may detract from that...but hopefully that and the weather will cooperate and we'll make our first offshore trek for the year out of Rudee this weekend....not sure where right now...will make that call probably Friday.....Let's get em !.......

family stuff is always keeping me outta the water. The closest temp Break looks like the Norfolk caynon area and it eems to really stay to the 100 fathom mark. I would be much happier when it moves about 20 miles closer in.

Bob, I've been watching that too. The Fingers are holding a little warm water as well, according to Hiltons. Not much, however, there are some destinctive mid-60's breaks...

Anyway, I'm in the hunt...

What to do, what to do

Well, I am sure you will be fine, YOU LOOK GREAT!!!. There is nothing I can really do anyway, so there is really no need for me to sit around the hospital all day. Maybe your sister (mom, dad, brother neighbor or dog) can come and sit with you. It is only ONE Day. I will call right after I get back, clean the fish, wash the boat and have a beer, I promise. I NEVER get to go fishing. I know it looks bad, but the weather forecast next week sucks, so I really have to go today. OH MY GOD, I am sorry, that's things I would be saying. Had a flashback.

come to think of it she will be doped up i could just tell her i never left i have been by her side the whole time.......then ask if she want fresh tuna steaks for dinner?



now what to do about the 5 and 7 year olds? i dont think that they will keep that secret, well the 5 year old will but the 7 will have this wild story about giant fish and 3 hour boat ride to catch them.......you know that the truth is truely unbelievable and maybe i should just let them both go...
