i'm taking my brother who's home from iraq for a two week break, fishing in the mouth of the piankatank and the rapp in a small16ft boat, i was wondering if anyone has any advice on where and how to catch any other species besides croakersand catfish.

I have caught a number of small spot in those areas. I think there are some flounder there as well. Try bloodworms for spot and minnows for flounder. Squid will catch almost all croaker.

Thanks for the info, i've read a a fishing report where they were catching a few flounder at cherry point. But on my map it shows 2 cherry point locations, one in the rapp and the other just at the mouth of piankatank. Any idea which cherry point?

More than likely cherrypoint just south of the cell. You may also want to try at the cell and the channel to the NNW. Good luck !
