I have only been saltwater fishing for about year at the CBBT. I have almost caught several citiations but not yet. Any help you can give me would be great. I like to fish for flounder, spade and sheepshead.

Follow MT pockets and take his fish ! he doesn't need em'
Just kidding. Try differnet baits, different areas and different techniques. Ask a lot of questions from guys on the board.
Good luck

Keep a log book of all of fishing trips. Where you went, water temps, trolling, drifting, bait used, type of gear, lure colors, time of day when you caught your fish, etc. This information will help you from year to year in zeroing in on the monsters.

If you have "almost caught several citations" then I would say you are doing pretty good.

If you are looking for citation flounder, it helps to have a big, live spot on the hook. Big flounder will eat small bait, but the big bait keeps the annoying little guys away.
My fishing partner caught a 14.5 lb flounder using a 14 oz spot...made a believer out of me!

Patience is the best thing.
If you see what the citations are usually caught on, it no gimick, its just being in the right place with the right conditions with the right bait.
For example, most everyone is saying it too early for the Spade bite at CBBT, but a new state record has been caught already at wolftrap light???

The "citation"s the enjoyment. It will happen for you. Hang in there and enjoy the 'lessons'.
