Just got word of a big cobia just weighed in at Wallace's. If verified, it will be a new state record, around 109 pounds!

Good luck to the angler, I hope it's true! A fantastic catch! jumping-smiley-013.gif smilie_daumenpos.gif

It's true. The word is there are 1 or 2 more in the 100# class on the way in to Wallaces now. Some boats landed up to 8 fish this morning.

What a Fish! Congratulations! I have to say it's too bad it's not catch and release though. I gotta believe that Cobia are at pretty much the top of their food chain and I hate to see them get taken. Maybe I'm just a tree hugger at heart!

Congrats again!

York spit vacinity. 33" girth on that thing from eye to eye inside was over 11" I have never seen one that big. It had dried out quite a bit also they brougt it in a back of a truck with towells on it. congradulations to the crew once again! action-smiley-033.gif food-smiley-004.gif yourock.gif They caught it on a penn 345 levelwind and the gaff man had never gaffed a fish.
