Team still think'n made a quick run offshore...1 Blue Fin...38"...4 nice Mahi...one was eyeballing a Cedar Plug and lost !...I'll let Don post the details and he's ver meticulous about writing stuff down !..lol...here's some pics....Bob
Got to the 10 fathom Lump at 6:30 and had that bluefin in the box at 6:35!!! Took the cedar plug right after I set it out on the flat...unbelievable. Trolled the Lump for a while with no other takers, so we headed towards the Cigar.
Fought weeds the entire way there. Picked up a nice cow off the cedar plug on the way. Then we had a bull come into the spread hitting the left long and then the right long and then finally getting the big marlin lure trolled in the shotgun. We were thinking it was a billfish the way he ran the spread.
Trolled to the weather buoy and got 2 more dolphin SE of it...one on the cedar plug right in the eye and the other on a Purple/black TCB.
Conditions weren't as bad as predicted...I'd say 3-5 and it laid down in the afternoon.
Heard of a blue marlin caught off the Cigar...congrats Backlash!!!

Great job on the 4th Guys. Glad the Wx settled down for you. We'll hit it on Saturday, still conjuring up the plan.

Great job to Paul, Otter and Don yesterday..conditions were tough with all the grass around....lot of time spent reeling in, clearing lines and puttin em back out....only the constant attention to the baits allowed us to catch what we did...well except the first Blue-fin who committed suicide on that Cedar Plug before we had 3 lines in the water.....Bob

If you can get that quality of fish out of that grass you are doing a strong job. I think there is a lot of fish in that grgrass but I couldn't keep the baits in it long enough to catch'um.That is a pretty dolphin --big boy!

I'm doing a study for the American Medical Assoc on the affects of mercury on the body. I'm eating tuna everyday and trying to get as much mercury as possible...besides glowing in the dark..there seems to be nothing wrong!!!
