BLACK ADDER
I may just be paying more attention this year, but we seem to be catching a lot of smaller fish this year. And a lot of folks are getting their FIRST cobia. When I was out Saturday around the 12 mile mark there were boats anchored up 360@ out to the horizon. Maybe there are more folks doing it,too. Anyway, hope the bite keeps up right through the summer. laughing-smiley-014.gif And I got one (45") out at the buoys where nobody else was.

I think overall more people are fishing for Cobia than ever before. Most of the fish we have caught have been in the 42-46 inch range with only one 51 inch release citation. I have heard from other people that there are smaller fish being caught this year. If I remember 2 years ago the Cobias never made a good showing. Better off having something that nothing I guess. fishing4.gif

Mega Bite
I hope that the smaller fish is a good indicator of how they spawned, they will be big uns in a few years.I have caught mostly dinks this year also.
