Got a late start out of Lynhaven.. headed to the Hot Dog 1st, had my wife come along since my buddy had to cancel. Nada at the Hot Dog, some marks but no Hits.

Picked up and ran to the Cigar. Things looked better .. No scattered weeds to foul up the lines. Lines in about 20 mins then Bam 2 knock Downs. I tighten the drag on 1 line while I fight the other line... I ask my wife .. Honey can you please crank the extra lines in? Few minutes later landed a yellowfin football... about 40 lbs. I went to get the second one .. nada. Get the lines set again and a little later land a skipjack. No action after that but I did have alot of marks deep around 60 to 80.

The ride back was great until the last stretch from the CLT to past Cape henry..
wife not so happy now. Anyway had a great time.. 1st tuna blood on the new boat. And a Big thanks to Don for helping me set up my outriggers and that little
gizmo I bought from him that landed that YFT.

I will post some photos later.

I didn't think about using the skip as bait.. I guess you lip hook em and troll them in the spread to keep em alive?
