I wouldn't do it because weather changes fast and a pontoon boat is way out of its element on the open bay. It's a ways in to sheltered water from Buoy 36.

I have heard it all before. I know I don't have the right boat but it is a good boat and i like it. been in 5' seas off southport nc. not grate but it did just fine. any boat can go down hope we don't. I do thank you for the concern but some pople are just hard headed. like me.

Just make sure you notify someone of where you plan to fish and have all the right equipment ( vhf, cell phone , flares, prozac )

Hay after all pontoons will float up side down or right side up! Got to live close to the edge.

good luck out there and be careful! 36a has been pretty good on the flounder. deep or shallow depending on the bite. lots of folks are doing pretty well along the bouy line from there heading northward.
watch the weather .... -bo
