Hada chance to get the wife out this morning from from 6-noon. Went out to the ODU and drifted around catching weakfish, croaker, bluefish and spot which we used for bait.
No flounder at the reef area and the wind was honkin out of the WSW at 20-25kts.
To get out of the wind we got close to the beach in 12 ft of *78 water. This gave us a better drift out of the wind a little more. We drifted to the LC inlet releasing flounder after flounder up to 18".

We kept six that were 22"-24". We saw one cobia lurking the surface but she wanted nothing to do with the croaker I pitched to it.

Back By noon.

All flounder caught in less that 15' of water.

Thanks for the report. Weather willing, I'll be out there tomorrow. I leave town on Thursday for three weeks so this weekend is my last chance for flounder until mid August.
