Owen,
There are people that only read one newspaper, or watch one TV station, etc., and wonder why their perspective is the way it is. There is also a difference between using infomation, contributing information and actively supporting. The great thing about the VBSF Board is that you can get to know the active participants on the board and get straight scoop from folks who love fishing and want others to enjoy and share as well. That may also happen on the other Boards, I just haven't seen that yet. VBSF also points you to local resources where you can get advice, gear, services, etc. They remain there because they have been vetted by local sportsmen and women. Everytime I have met folks in person who were only VBSF Board names to me previously, I have enjoyed the experience, and learned something more about fishing or running a boat in this area. VBSF is one of the friendliest, knowledegable, and entertaining sites I have found and I'm glad to contribute. The other sites can add to your perspective, but I like it here.
Tight lines.
Dave
