It's been awhile since I last targeted them. Was wondering if they come back to the 9 ft shoals and IMG or if it was better to pick them off the bouys this time of year? any suggestions are appreciated.

They are hanging around the CBBT pilings and are beginning to group together so days with big number catches are getting ready to happen.

Are they around the pilings all along the bridge, or are they between 2nd and 3rd or forth and high rise? I have some friends coming down this weekend from Northern VA and wold like to get them on to a couple cobes or kings. If all else fails, would like to get into a school of spanish on an ultra light.

we fished the 9 foot shoals seaside on sunday. 1 undersized cobia, but eaten alive by dem critters. skates, rays, bluefish ...
i found out today that a friend fished inside of 36a on sunday and nailed 9 cobia the largest at just under 50 inches. not too shabby! sorry sack, we passed them going out and back in, and didnt realize who it was alone there on the flat! he said all the cobia but one were caught on bluefish, one on an eel.
that's fishing ..... -bo

IMG?? What bait? My father is visiting late next week from MI and has never caught a Cobia (I am worried that if he gets one, he will have a heart attack...although he is a crusty ole Great Lakes Salmon veteran

). I managed two on my first trip a few weeks ago

but have been shut out since
