Can anyone tell me where some of the better fishing is during low tides? I'll be out around Lynnhaven Inlet Friday around 1:00 pm and low tide is around 1:30 or so...

im kinda thinkin the tide doesnt really matter around lynhaven inlet its just how you fish it... i fished there and i produced just as much fish on low tide as i have on high tide.thats flounder anyway...

tide is everything, it dictates where to go and when. at the tail end of the outgoing theres typically a good flounder bite around the bridge. theres plenty of other stuff in there too now.

I assume you are talking about fishing from a boat and not from the shore. I have fished Lynnhaven Inlet most of my life and have always had better luck on the upper half of the tide. At low tide, particularly if there is a SW wind, there is precious little water in the inlet. On the low tide half of the cycle, I would look for deep water such as holes and channels like around the bridge, the turning basin, the Long Creek Canal, and Keelings Drain. Be careful of the fish police though. Many channels are off limits.
