When do the big stripers start showing up in the Bay? I know there are resident fish around now but, when do they start their run down from the north east?

That is probably nearly correct and the correct reason dont forget how last season went everything was a month late.I have given up on predicting(with fuel prices) and have learned to be able to react fast when things do happen.I have caught those hawgs in 38 degree water off Corolla the bait was so thick it kept them beyond their comfort zone.Kind of like chaseing women into a disco.

Last year was one mild winter. We actually had a spring also.

The weird thing this summer is how mild August has been.

I caught a striper 2 inches shy of a release citation last night at first island. The fish was really clean and was full of sea lice. The problem I saw was the fish was tagged in the stomach. The tag read if fish is undersized cut tag and release. I called the 1800 # and it was from the Maryland wild life fish and game. I left my number and notified them the the fish was tagged wrong. I am waiting fro a phone call back for my reward.

That fish might have been tagged for a tournament they did up there this year. It was a big prize if you caught a tagged one during their tourny.
