Does anyone have a relative timeline of how long the spadefish stay around? They were all over last weekend and the next trip is tentatively planned for mid-September. like to try them on the Flyrod if they're still around. Any info or links would be helpful.

They will be here in Sept, but I have never fished for them past early August. Ive speared them in Sept.
Once the jellyfish get think they are harder to catch, I think that happened in late July.

Gonna go after them this weekend around the islands. Seems like they are here for a bit longer although I usually go to the Ches Light Tower. I use the tried and true clams on hook drifting in a chum line.
Seems to work pretty good. Only change I make is sometimes I set a few lines deep were my finder marks them. (Old Northern Minn Crappie Trick).
Gimme a shout (Marrdro) if you are out Sat I will let you know if I am in them.
