Hello all, I have been lurking on your site for about a month now and couldn’t get on yesterday so I figured I would sign up. I live in NJ and fish offshore as well as inshore every chance I get. I grew up spending the summers on Long Beach Island so I have many friends with off shore rigs and am fortunate to get invited fishing on a regular basis. Well, I'm sad to say work is causing me to move away from my fishing connections and that has to be the worst part about moving. The up side is I'm moving to Norfolk and it appears this city is surrounded by water!! So I am hoping to start networking with people and making new fishing friends. I haven’t been given a moving date yet but when I do get down there I plan on attending your meetings. Looking forward to making new fishing buddies!

You came to the right place. Its not just a fishing forum, but also an informal social club.

Welcome

Welcome. I'm a transplanted Northener myself. Grew up in the Philly area and fished mostly out of Cape May, NJ. Been down here for 5 years now and love it. Bought a nice 17' boat and fish as often as I can. You'll love here. The fishing season is pretty much all year. I fish from April to Feb and take March off to spend time with the wife, housework, etc biggrin.gif This site is a great source for info and everyone is helpful. The meetings are good place to kick back and tell fish stories. I've only made one but plan on more in the future.

Welcome Darryl. Come to one of our monthly meetings - you will like it. Some of the best friends I have, I made on this board.

These guys know how to fish and they are eager to share.

Welcome to the board Nemo. Come on down. If you like the fishing off New England, you'll love it down here. Like Whaler said, it never ends. By the time you're tired of hauling in stripers, the tunas are throwing a party off of the Outer Banks, or the cobias are fighting the red drum for your bait on the IMG or the flounder are staging a rebellion at the CBBT. Lots to do and see. Once again welcome!
