I'm heading out of Oregon Inlet sometime over the next week...i'm trying to figure out what Ernesto's going to do to the water down there. Any advice on where to go to try and find some dolphin?

I usually head to the point, if I run accross a weed line on the way out, I will stop and sniff around....But if you go to the point and head E/SE from there, you can usually pick up a weed line within a couple of miles, that is where I have had the most success....when you hit the weed line, don't get right up on it at first, toll about 50 yds off of it, with a normal spread, that is where the bigger dolphin will be, if no luck then get right up next to it, and put out the smaller squid baits, islanders, nakeds, rapalas.....when you find the bailers, have some chopped up squid ready and throw a handfull as soon as you get hit, then throw a little out every 30 sec or so...keep the hooked one in the water until you can get the school around you and then start bailing.....hope this helps...

080 degrees true for 70 mi to the best fishing around the mid atlantic out of oi

Most boats dont have to go 70 miles to catch fish out of OI unless they get desprate. That is the great thing about fishing there.80 deg TN out of Oregon at 70 miles would put you 33 miles past the C.Shelf in 1413 Fathons(8478 ft.) If you used the same heading and distance out of Rudee you would be on the North Wall of the Norfolk Canyon is that what you mean?

No, I was looking at the Hilton Realtime Navigator and the best alltiimetry shot was out there. There were a couple other closer ones but that was the best I thought.

How do you like that system now that you've had it for a while. Should I spend the money?
