Knot Too Fast

Has anyone looked at the weather report for offshore? Well, we are getting underway (on the big boat) today to go out in that slop until late week. I'll try to get topside and report what the water looks like. Should be a lot of fun out there.

If for some reason you lose internet and need anything like your players updated, email me.
It should not be that bad out there.

Passed by all the recognizable (read: fishing haunts) spots during the night so I did not get a look at the water. The seas are laying down a bit (6-8 ft swell w/10 sec period and 1-2 ft chop mixed in). This morning, we are just past the 1k fthm curve approx 40 nm south of Norfolk Canyon and the water looks real dark. Don, it looks about like it did when we were out with Dave on Labor Day. Have not been paying attention to temps because I figure you guys are getting that from the Sat shots. Will look at it again this evening and tomorrow mornign and let you know if it changes any.

What pound test do you use when trolling for toona at 30+ knots?!

I'm assuming that rocket launchers are not in short supply.

Does the cap'n take her outta gear so you can bail mahi on the weed lines?
Thanks for your service!!

Late this evening, the seas are continuing to lay down. The swell is about the same but overiding chop is letting up. About 20 nm SW of Norfolk Canyon, the water still looked dark with scattered weeds (starting to organize in some areas). We are heading closer to shore tonigh so I won't be able to get a good look on the way in but will give you what I have in the AM.
