Wish I was going....good luck, I think Sunday will be good with some big rollers and winds coming down....don't know what the water will look like or where the temp breaks will be by then, but if I was going it would definately be Sunday...Bob

We may end up going both days.

Please give good reports. I'll be out of town this weekend at the TN vs FL game. Might give it a try next weekend.

Good luck to those going. Just watch those NW winds on Saturday. If they're bucking an East swell, it might stand those waves up. It was a NW wind that caused a 6 hour ride home...its the forgotten wind. Sunday is looking better and better!!

Felix the Kat went out this morning, so hoepfully they'll get into them and give a report.

Good luck and Catch 'em Up!!

Earlytimes or I will get a report posted Saturday night when we get back for anybody who is going to try Sunday., so check the board if you want help.We may fish both days. Buoy report looks pretty good as of now. Terminal area forecast for the Norfolk airport is northeast at 4 knots for tommorrow am. Looks like the low pressure giving us the wind is not too deep and will be completely out of play by Saturday night. Let's get some TUNA's!!!

Sorry for not replying but we x-ed it after going out a few miles, my son is not a real seasoned boater leave alone offshore and big fish so we decided we were beter suited working on a 12 pack in the garage, getting bets ready for sat. college foootbal

No problem Felix. You may have made a really good call.
It was very rough out there Saturday. I would be trolling down sea and would have to VERY QUICKLY turn 180 degrees to troll into the head sea because when we were beam to, we would literaly bounce the outriggers up and down, the rocking was so violent.
We had a terrfic amount of rain and some lighting. All though the high pressure moved in Sunday and cleared the overcast and rain -- the wind was still up pretty high out there. I watched the buoy reports all day Sunday -- 44014 stayed at 6 feet consistently. That kind of sea is extremely uncomfortable to fish in -- even in a sizable boat - not to mention the safety issue if you lose power. I took a couple of rogue waves of about 9 feet on our starboard side, just inside of the light tower, Sat afternoon and I am sure the boat had a 20 or 30 degree roll. If you were adrift in that situation with no control, it would certainly not be hard to capsize.
