Good job frazierdl action-smiley-033.gif , I was planning on heading out but trailer light troubles kept me home, ended up installing LED trailer lights last night. action-smiley-034.gif

What were you using for bait/lures and what was your technique?

The lure was Storm sassy shad (prerigged pack) and technique was blind leading the blind action-smiley-025.gif . Tossed to the pilings or rocks, let sit and then jigged in medium slow speed.

Cool! thanks. I'm taking inventory of differnt lures that stripers hit. Especially at night. Gonna buy 'em all and see if they out fish my bubble gum (pink) FIN-S'.

And if they do then I can finally give up my pink lure collection. I've been getting teased for several years about going out at night w/ pink. sad-smiley-047.gif

Way to go Frazoo on your first stripers. If you think you hooked them I will
bet they Hooked you even harder.

Early fall and the spring season I like a 3/8 oz. jig head with a 6" white curly tail
on lite tackel 12lb test. Splice a 30# shock leader to the 12lb. This is my go to
lure for saving the day and getting some pullage. Thro it around pillings and up in rocks vary retrive till you find what works best. Schoolie stripers and blues love them but I have caught plenty over 32" on them. Have plenty of tails the blues
have a habit of missing the hook but taking the tails with them.

Never had much luck on pink. I may have to try them again.

Bobby,

Dont give up on the FinnS. I used em a lot last year and the schoolies loved them. With an 8 yr old for a crew, you use what will catch A LOT of fish vice what will catch the hogs.

Pretty work Frazz!!! Just wait a couple of months, when those 30 pounders start nibbling on your bait. Then the real fun begins! Congrats once again!
BillyBoy
Congrats on what is sure to be a life long addiction. Good report.

Great Job. Don't give up on the pink. I love them for schoolies.

Thanks All.... I know pink works... it's all I carry at night (for the past 5 years) smilie_daumenpos.gif . I have always limited out with them... although, Don (Skinny's Kid), along with others have always teased me about "PINK"......so. I've been wanting to try something else that catches as many stripers as my PINK Fin-S lures do.

I'm just gonna have to take Don out in the next week or two and let him experience the "Pink fever" and make him take back all those names he has called me over the years. mad.gif Then after that he'll be bow.gif 'ing to me forever.... action-smiley-025.gif food-smiley-015.gif food-smiley-015.gif :....until he redeems himself by taking me offshore. tongue.gif

Thanks Again,

Bobby
