QUOTE (Dog Day Afternoon @ Oct 4 2006, 09:01 AM)
We are gonna give it a shot this evening it looks like the best evening for the next few days. Using Storms, and Berkly Gulps, for Trout and Striper, and a few different kinds of pink ( bubble gum) baits that seem to be doing well. Going to try by rocks and pilons on Norfolk side. Anyone want to give advice and or tips I'll check back later. Any special spots? I know everyone always says " I don't want to know anyones special spot" We all know thats a lie........ Everyone is looking for all the special spots. Hopefully we won't play bumper boats tonight.

Fish the light line. The stripers have their nose right on the line facing the current. From down current, cast about a foot past the light line. Once the lure drift back to the stripers....bam! Current must be running for the to be effective. You can actually see the fish in the water... which makes it even more frustrating when there not biting.
When I have people on the boat I never anchor, I am always puttering inder the bridge. Always make sure not to piss off others by comming up on there light while there anchored. I always fish unclaimed lights as to keep peace and happiness.
Hope you did well tonight.
Take Care,
Bobby
