Started out at small boat channel where we picked up 5 or 6 stripper all under 17". marked alot of bait. Headed out to the first island no luck. Trolled back to the small boat channel lost one fish at the boat. Decided to head home when we got to the lesner the water was boilling, anchored up and had our fill catching 15 to 17" stripper. No keepers but my son had a blast. Saw 4 nice 26 to 28" fish that were caught at the second island.

at the point just before the drop off into the channel. used what i call a reverse fish finder rig with live mullet or shrimp. they (the fish) were feeding on both sides of the channel and then stopped! they had moved into the inlet. or throw some shad colored storms or white bucks at the boat channel or into the light line

This is great information. I will be fishing the inlet out to the 1st tube towards the end of next week. I've never fished the area before and will be bringing my 12 year old son. Are there any trout still in the inlet?

sunday night I only saw two guys catching them, but they were all of really nice size. 20in or so, give or take. one was using cut mullet on a fishfinder rig left side of the bridge and the other was throw'n trout colored storms on the right side. maybe they should have met in the middle and cleaned up!
