Left L.C. late wed. missed the morning bite, if there was one. Fished the
SBC area of CBBT all afternoon. Picked up about 30-40 schoolies and by the way,
these fish were really healthy looking. When what incoming tide there was got
going I strted catching flounder. Had 5 really nice fish, 21-26"!!!! The 26 weighted
6.1 lbs... no paper. but good eats!!!!! BTW, I was wire-linning using baits thaqt I
make myself tipped with a chartruse trailer...

Nice work skid. It is encouraging to know that the flatties are still here and all the Striper being caught are healthy. Now, we just need the HOGS to show up.

What were you using to catch the stripers? My father is arriving tomorrow. It is his dream to go out striper fishing.

Like I said in my post, I make my own baits, but if u troll, white bucktails down
close to the bottom should do nicely, same if u r casting. wind cheaters, speed shads oh did mention white bucktails! Good Luck to u and your dad.

When you use the white bucktails should i use it plain with nothing on the hook or put somthing on the hook such as squid or shrimp. Or does it not matter.

U can use it plain, but like I said in my post, I use a chartruse trailer, my prefrence, but a white trailer will work fine also, u just have to switch aroune untile u find out what works..On most days, color doesn`t matter, if the fish are
feeding they will hit just about anything u use.
