Headed out of LI around 8:30am. Started at the 1st bouncing the bottom with bucktails and then throwing toward the rocks. Nothing! Trolled along the oceanside up to the 3rd. Nothing! While trolling I threw to the pilings and had one hit but did not land the fish.
At the 3rd we tried dritfing the channel with bucktails. Again nothing except one hit but no fish.
About 1:30 headed back to the 1st and started to throw at the rocks. Started to catch some small schoolies (under 18"). In all caught 5 Stripers and one nice blue.
All in all a good day but really slow.
