[quote=Buy Cotton,Dec 1 2006, 03:03 PM][quote=crackofnoon,Nov 30 2006, 11:01 PM]We put lines in around the 550 line and worked the area for a while with nothing. Moved a little further south where a few charters were picking up some fish still nothing for us. Worked the area for a few hours had line go tight fish on about 5 minutes later fish off. Noticed a few charters had picked up and ran up north around the point so we followed. Lines in 5 minutes fish on 2 minutes fish off. finally pick up a 35 pounder lots of life in the area thing look good. Had about 4 other knock downs but that was it for us. Looks like you had a much better day than we had. Oh well it was a great day on the water. Ended the day with towing a buddy that had lost the lower unit 35 miles from the inlet. We towed him 13 miles until he meet up with sea tow. Made it through the inlet in the dark and to the ramp at 6:15. That wasnt you at the ramp with the trailer problem was it?

Any day fishing is better than a day working. We really hung around the point...found a finger canyon, I guess, that jumped up to 300ft from 600ft. You could see a good rip/upwelling. We got most activity there. Good luck on Jr. Islander, white and white/red, with ballyhoo. Dolphin hit yellow/green lure with ballyhoo. No that wasn't us with trailer trouble. We left fish. center around 4:00pm. Heard someone talking about breaking a shaft on a 24ft Albemarle and needing a tow. Was this your buddy? Glad everyone made it in OK.
