We went out about 845 am yesterday to the CBBT, inside the first island and anchored next to a pilling. What a hoot catching/not catching those bait thieving togs. It was my first time and I got the biggest fish - 11 lb 8 oz. We also got another 10 lb 13 oz and 2 more that would have gone over 9 lbs I really felt sorry for one person on the boat that just fed them all day, he could pull the hook out of their mouth with precision timing - just after they had sucked the meat out of the crab!!!!!!

i know the feeling of pulling the hook out of their mouth everytime. Lol I went through about a dozen crab in 3 hours or so cut into 4 piecies and only landed 2 fish near the 2nd island a few weeks ago. That is funny but so true

I need to try for Togs soon also. Never done it. What size hooks and where do you get the crabs. I am in San Diego right now but will be home mid Dec. Is that to late to try for em?
