Big Rob and I fished Sunday. Earlytimes shooting geese and pheasants in Colorado - so there were only two of us. Spent most of the day between 2nd and 3rd -8 mile curve on the bayside. As soon as a the tide got going -- caught about 2 doxzen small stripers. We kept 3 of about 25 inches. 6 Inch storms behind 20 ozs. on a three-way and chartuse umbrella's seemed best.

Hi Bob--Man, I really like Fisherman's Wharf. The Water Dog crew lobbied me to make the change to go down there and they were right. Very nice people running it --Paula does everything to help, you could ask. I have met several guys down there who know what they are doing and will work with us this upcoming season. Talked to Ross, on the Harpoon, down there this afternoon . He had two 20lb stripers off Dam Neck and lost some others before getting covered up in big bluefish.
If it lays down a bit Sat we might have to take a look at the Cigar. I was just getting ready to send the heavy stuff to PA tackle for cleaning and new mono as we are heading down to Pirate's Cove April 1 for two months. Spring will be here before we know it, so I'm going to get our stuff right early and we will be set to go.
How you do'in? Haven't seen Still Think'n at the CBBT. But you haven't missed much.

I love Fishermans Wharf in the Summertime. No better place to be on Sunday afternoon than Dirty Dicks !....I try and always pull in there if I have fish to weigh on the way to Owls Creek Boat Ramp.

Some great guys down there. Dave Trax on Oblivion is Da man when it come to Tuna...he's heading out to the Cigar tomorrow to check it out. You've got Neil on Wired up also.....and all the big time Charter boys. Which pier are ya on ?....

Roger on the CBBT, I try and stay the hell away from there. I'm not a big fan of all the crowds there this time of the year....That's why I normally wait until the cows start hitting the beach (soon !!!).

I was supposed to be in Fla with otter and Don this weekend but the weather has shut my Pops down again. Forecast 8 - 11 out of Palm beach...sooooooo....looking at the finger at the Cigar and hoping it hangs out for a few days....would love a shot at that stuff !......Bob

We are in slip B35 right across from Wired Up. That is a really good looking boat. I totally agree with on the CBBT. That place is a nightmare. I don't like striper fishing in general because even the ocean fishing is a pain in the ass. The people fishing in those crowds are the loudest, rudest people, I have ever encountered.
Nothing like the offshore group.
Yep, Palm Beach can really get big in the Stream. A little North wind and uit isreally impressive. How is the sail fishing down there? I want to go down and try it.

Bob,
Dont forget to redo your outriggers.

Palm beach Sailfishing is out of this world. I was down there Thanksgiving weekend. Went out on my buddies boat at 0800, went 2 for 4 on Sailfish by 11AM and back in for lunch. We never got more than 4 miles away from the Inlet. usually do a trip to Islamorada in February for Sailfishing. Use Live Ballyhoo caught in a castnet for bait....all this in Penn spinning gear !>..it's a blast

Roger that Don...we're actually going to triple rig them suckers on Friday !...lol....tks for the reminder....Bob
