A couple of rookies went fishing yesterday...We put in at Lynnhaven at 3:00pm and headed to the second island, trolling towards the third. The tide was going out. We started on the ocean side, nothing. Moved in between the bridges and found a hudge swarm of birds working. We caught all the schoolies you wanted to catch casting bucktails to um'. We moved on to the bay side of the bridge and picked up a few nice fish for the box. Marked alot of bait on this side too. The largest fish was 35". We used umbrellas, storms, mojo's and stretch 25's. We caught all the fish on the 25's. ( Chartruese 25's was top lure today ). We fished until 7:00pm, tide was slack. What a nice full moon rise over the bay on a calm evening. smile.gif We called it a day and headed back in to enjoy a hot meal at Bubba's. food-smiley-004.gif

I'm trying to post pictures, not having any luck. help.gif

Good report! I had the same luck in that school of birds. Quite a few schoolies and decent keepers mixed in. Tried most of the early afternoon chasing birds off the beach and around Cape Henry with no luck. We marked all kinds of bait, just nothing would take the mojos and daisy chains. I even tried the cheese puffs. It was fun around the bridge, you didn't have time to close the bail before they took the storm.
