Made it down to Nags Head Sunday night with myself, Taz, Gumby, and our boy Hogwood and began to check the reports from sunday. Did not get many positive reports from the fleet that fished. Made it to the ramp at 0500 with only a few boats there missed the first wave that left. Did get to meet c dawn at the ramp and we followed a charter out the crack. Decided to head out around the 600 to see what was there. Found cold water and no life. Thanks to Taz he was talking with a buddy of his and a green sticker called his buddy into some warm water around the 650. We picked up and ran found some warmer water around 70. Lines in for about 20 minutes and had a run off on the bar with a green machine then line went loose. At least it was a good sign. spent the rest of the day in the area ended up with 8 nice yft in the box and had about 8 other good run offs but did not get a good hook in them. Left around 230 after watching Hogwood get beat by a foul hooked 35lber for about 30 minutes. Great ride in at 32 knots. Meet c- dawn at the ramp again. Great job to those guys for getting there first tuna on there boat.
