Ok well yesterday we had some company with us, My god father Joe and his son Neil and of course dad and I! We wanted to go in search of some nice class rockfish out of Cape Henry! The reports were calling for 1-2ft everywhere we looked, well they lied.
It was at least 5ft in the morning, so we could only take but so much in a 23ft boat, so we made a couple passes by the Ramada, marked bait but nothing, so we headed back into Rudee and decided to go to plan B, we were going to go out of Huntington to go to the M&M to see what we could get there for our last journey of the bay season! So we headed back at 9:00am and everything was going good until there was an accident by the JRB, delay angry.gif And then we were rolling again, until there was a disabled car after the JRB angry.gif another delay, so we finally make it to Huntington by 10:15am and we had lines in at the M&M by 10:30am.
Its slack tide and we picked up 1 or 2 here there, nice fat size 24 25''inch fish....so we took a little break and made some lunch until the outgoing tide started ripping, I said to the crew we are going to get some action and boy was I right, the tide was outgoing and rolling, and the action was non-stop!!!!
All fish were on bottom, with a wireline rig 6'' Golden mullet shad and the other rigs were a 10oz Chartruse mojo with a white bucktail and a chartruse grub...everytime I went to set the lines out, the other rod had a fish on it!!! So Neil had all the fun as his father watched him crank in all the fish, I was the official mate for the day biggrin.gif They dont get out with us much, but after all the hassel it was well worth it!!! We easily caught our limit and left many more fish to be caught, we headed in early so they could have a safe ride back. The bay season for us had been incredible!!! Cant wait for next season!!!!! Till then, tight lines fellas! I have some pics below of our trip, I also have pics from our trip out to Cape Henry this past Monday 12/18/06

Nice work. Sounds like a great day. Don't hang it up yet, we still got plenty of ocean fishing until March 31st.

1st mate, nice report and nice fish. I tried to post your pics here from the links, but wouldn't work. They do seem to work from photobucket.com (or, if you have a cox account they work great from there too).
