It was at least 5ft in the morning, so we could only take but so much in a 23ft boat, so we made a couple passes by the Ramada, marked bait but nothing, so we headed back into Rudee and decided to go to plan B, we were going to go out of Huntington to go to the M&M to see what we could get there for our last journey of the bay season! So we headed back at 9:00am and everything was going good until there was an accident by the JRB, delay
Its slack tide and we picked up 1 or 2 here there, nice fat size 24 25''inch fish....so we took a little break and made some lunch until the outgoing tide started ripping, I said to the crew we are going to get some action and boy was I right, the tide was outgoing and rolling, and the action was non-stop!!!!
All fish were on bottom, with a wireline rig 6'' Golden mullet shad and the other rigs were a 10oz Chartruse mojo with a white bucktail and a chartruse grub...everytime I went to set the lines out, the other rod had a fish on it!!! So Neil had all the fun as his father watched him crank in all the fish, I was the official mate for the day
