Launched out of Little Creek this morning at around 10:00 with Mark (vabch1117) and my friend Greg from work. Made a pass through the area Naved had success in yesterday and didn't mark much in the way of fish. Rounded the Cape, howeve, and started marking large numbers of fish. Spent the day between the Green Can and Ramada, marking fish all day but very little activity. Caught and released 5 in the 20-22" range. Nothing you could really call birds working and never felt that the bite was on.
Caught all 5 dinks on either red and white or chartreuse. Got them on Mojo, Downrigger, Umbrella, and Streches. We tried everything we had to raise bigger fish, but not joy.
I'll be out there again tomorrow - hoping for the best. Give me a call:

We launched out of Lynnhaven around 8. Made a run to CH. Caught 1 38" within 15 min. After that NOTHING. We marked alot of fish, but no bite. Made a run to the CBBT to end the day. Picked up one more 28, then headed back. Was still better than being at work....

Yeah that was pretty much the same for us. We caught 8 stripers, one at 30" and the rest between 20-24" and one bluefish at 30". Three of the stripers came at the end of the day for us, around 3:30 when we found a bunch of pelicans working and we casted storms for some action. Seemed like the bite was turning on but everything was small. Also watched guys throwing 20" stripers in the box, 1-2 miles out of the bay. Finally called over and told them the limit was 28" and they acted surprised and threw the fish back.
Red/white strech 25 was the most productive today.
Charlie (Donna Sea), saw you out there and was going to call over but there wasn't much to report. SLow, slow, slow. Dig the boat, she is a beauty.

Sounds like the Cape is not giving up the fish. Good luck next time out.

Plan on heading out around 11:00. I'll be on 68 or I'll monitor 79 as well. There is always to much trash on 68 this time of year. Is 79 a channel a channel the VBSF'ers can monitor and pass info without all be BS? I plan on heading south. Did anyone fish south today. I saw 5-6 boats off Rudee today around 2, any fish caught?

My dog, hover and I did the same...8-12 in the 24-30" range. Most went for the bunker colored storm with an inline weight, and a few on the deep rig between 2-4pm.
Seems there was one big group of bait that rode the current out from the bayside to the green can area around the same time. Is that a normal occurence?

Sorry the hogs didn't show up for you Charlie. With all the bait around the Cape, I think it's just a matter of time before it gets hot out there (unless Omega comes in and nets it all up

). My brother and I are taking call all through Christmas, so looks like we won't be able to get out until weekend after next. Good luck today, hope you get into 'em.
